Window Cleaner Wanted

Postby shardae » Fri Mar 26, 2010 10:48 am

Hey,

Does anyone know of a reliable and cheap window cleaner? I'm on the top floor of catalpa court, so looking for someone who's not afraid of heights.

Thanks

Gosh, it's a problem finding a window cleaner round here, isn't it? I rang one that I found on the 'net, and the number wasn't working. Another said they 'weren't taking on any more customers'. A third sent a very young lad round to give me a quote...and it was £20!! I thought that was a bit excessive! I was paying £8 north of the river!

I can tell by the number of hits on this thread - without any suggestions! - that no-one can find a window cleaner!! Definitely a niche in the market for someone here!

Hey, I can recommend a great window cleaner......having said that I need to get his number off my neighbour, I am on woodlands street and there are troughs on all the window cill he carefully moves them off and replaces them when they have been cleaned, he has just started to clean for my mum too, he was very patient with her (she is 90 and partially sighted) she is also very pleased with him, Ipromise I will get back with his number soon  I just cant find his card now !!! sorry to get your hopes up :x

Been meaning to post a reply to this for a while but just wanted to check it was ok with my window cleaner to give out his details.

I've used the same window cleaner for the past 7 years, he does quite a few of my neighbours too.

His name is Andy and his number is 07855 966902.

Thank you for that, Jima. I tried calling him but there's no answer, and it doesn't even go to answerphone. I'll try again later.

Yes, keep trying him, Helena. He came today so he is around. He was more than happy for me to advertise his service so he'll be expecting some calls! Let me know if you haven't made contact by tomorrow afternoon as he is calling for his money tomorrow evening and I'll let him know that you have been trying to call.

You're welcome - glad to be of help. My kids think that he is the best thing since sliced bread because he does monkey impressions at them through the window...at no extra cost!

Well, Andy did a superb job on my windows, in & out! The only bum note was that he got a parking fine (I think) from a warden who just happened to pass at that time. :x Probably my fault, as I didn't ask if he'd got a ticket from the machine up the street. So if he comes to you, remember to alert him!

My window cleaner in Coventry used to come to me every third Friday of the month at 8am, but Andy doesn't work like this unfortunately. So when he'll come next is a bit of a hit & miss, but he will come, he assures me.
